Lasagna

1 1/2 lbs ground beef or Italian sausage or combination of the two
1 lg jar of spaghetti sauce
1TB garlic powder or 2 cloves minced garlic
1 medium onion diced
1 tsp oregeno
1 tsp basil
9 lasagna noodles
8 oz small curd cottage cheese
1 egg
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 to 4 cups mazarella cheese

Fry ground beef/sausage - drain - return to pan - add spaghetti sauce, onion and garlic, simmer
In large pot boil lasagna noodles, drain - do not rinse
In another bowl mix cottage cheese, egg, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, oregeno and basil together.
In 9x13 baking pan (put a little sauce in bottom) layer as follows:
3 noodles
1/3 sauce
1/2 cottage cheese mixture
1/2 mazarella cheese
REPEAT Above
Place the last three noodles on top, cover with remaining sauce mixture, sprinkle remaining parmesan cheese on top.
Cover with foil - bake 45 min at 350 remove foil bake 15 min longer- remove from oven and let sit 15 min before cutting and serving
